Hand-Carved Table Top Rosewood Tiki Totem
Offered in this lot is a Hand-Carved Table Top Rosewood Tiki Totem, circa mid-century. The tiki features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wood construction of rosewood displaying two figural faces with carved feathers on the front side while preserving the uncarved barkside. Tiki statues are large or small humanoid carvings originating from ancient Polynesian cultures, traditionally used to represent gods, ancestors, and the connection between humanity and nature.
