Hand Carved Wooden Sculpture of a Large Donkey
This lot contains a beautiful hand carved wooden sculpture of a donkey carrying a man on his back. The artwork is signed on the back left by R.Volcy. Volcy used palm wood to sculpt his piece because of its softness. This item is approx 34 1/2" x 20" and weighs about 28.5lbs. The base the donkey stands on is 17 1/2" x 8". The woodcarving is in good vintage condition with some wear and scratches. There is a small crack in the base that starts at the front of the donkeys right hoof and travels along to his left hoof.
