American, probably carved 20th century. A hand carved mastodon tooth decorated with two giraffes feeding from tall trees, shows in a glass dome display case. Apparently unmarked. Approx: (tooth) h. 6.5", w. 3.5"; (on stand) h. 9", w. 6.25";(glass display) h. 12.25", w. 8".
Condition Report: Glass dome has chips to rim, wear commensurate with age and use to tooth.
