Item/Description: Grouping of hand-tinted albumen photographs depicting 19th century scenes and portraits from Japan. Total of 65 plates. (missing are page #8 and #31). Pages are pencil numbered in upper right corner. Some corners torn off. Some photos have numbers and locations printed, others have the location or description hand-written on opposite corresponding pages.

Condition: Wear, age. Some pages are torn (mainly near the end of the folio).
