Kawamura Manshu was japanese-style painter. He was born in Kyoto in 1880. Studied under Yamamoto Shunkyo. He has been active as a painter in the Kansai area. Having been selected continuously for the Bunten exhibition. He was active in art education as the principal of Kyoto Painting College. Kawamura continued to portray the beautiful nature of Yamakawa with a sophisticated sense of his poetry. He was a judge of the Teiten and a member of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts. He died in 1942. His works could be found in museums such as National Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, the National Museum of Modern Art Kyoto,National Museum of Korea, Brooklyn museum, Adachi Museum of Art Including original signed and sealed tomobako.
