Hanging scroll - Rice paper, Silk - painting by Kumasaka TEKIZAN (1796 - 1864) - Japan - Late Edo period

I'm selling this unique and beautiful hanging scroll by the famous Japanese artist Kumasaka TEKIZAN (1796 - 1864) . He was a renowned artist from Fukushima and is seen as a stylist of the Nagasaki School. The work dates from the late Edo period (1600-1868) .

. His top piece "Orchids on Water" was added to the cultural heritage of Fukushima prefecture. Other works were exhibited in various (inter) national museums.

. The piece in question is in excellent condition and dates from the early 19th century (probably made around 1820/1830) . This unique piece is considering its age in fantastic condition and an absolute asset for every interior or art collection.

. The lot will be shipped insured and registered, with a tracking code, directly after receiving the payment.
