Vintage Hans Jensen jewelry box with an incredibly detailed repousse village scene on the lid. The bottom of the box stamped "DENMARK" with Hans Jensen whale hallmark. Appears like solid silver, however, it is probably plated, c.1950s. The inside is covered with red velvet.
Hans Jensen was a Danish silversmith and part of a family that produced silver works in Copenhagen and subsequently in Aarhus from 1899 to 1970. Hallmark is a fish or whale.
