"Hare's Fur" Black-glazed Bowl, China, Jianware style, curved conical body with hint of indent beneath rim, the black glaze pooling in the well, iron brown rim, allover craquelure to both interior and exterior, brown bisque foot and base, ht. 2 1/4, mouth rim dia. 4 1/2 in.

Provenance: Purchased in the UK in the 1950s by the present owner's mother who immigrated to the US in the 1960s; inherited by the present owner in the 1990s.
