This is the oldest Rum in the World! This Rum has Guiness World Record and it can be found in many quotations on www. Limited edition: 10 bottles Harewood Rum 1780 was found in the cellars of Harewood House, Leeds. The rum was distilled in 1780, and formed part of a much larger collection that originated from the family’s historical plantation holdings in Barbados. The bottles remained unconsumed thus untouched until 2013. Sixteen bottles of The Harewood Rum featured in the London sale of Christie’s Fine and Rare Wines and Spirits on 11 December 2014. We have bought and opened 1 full bottle of Light Rum and prepared minis. This is one of them. Quality of this rum is superb! We have tasted it! All was described by Notary in the Notary Deed. We created 10 miniatures from 1 full bottle (they had differnt sizes) . Every miniature created from full bottle has a number. Auctioneed miniature is #9. Tasting notes: lethally powerful, fresh, and when combined with a drop or two of water exhibits a light fruit character that hid its age. Expert's Note: this rum was distilled in 1780. It is one of the oldest verified vintage distillates in existence. When it was distilled, whisky as we now know and understand it today did not exist. Item is in superb condition.
