Harissart - Khamsa 55 Euros

[ translate ]

\Artist: Harissart
Technique: Mixed media\Signature: Hand signed
The “Khamsa”, sometimes called “Hand of Fatima”, is a symbol used as an amulet, talisman and jewel by the inhabitants of North Africa, from which it originates, and the Middle East to protect against the evil eye. This term meaning “five” in Arabic and Hebrew, in reference to the five fingers of the hand, is associated with the five books of the Torah for Jews and the five pillars of Islam for Muslims. The fascination with the power of money confronts the religious symbolism of the evil eye, which is sometimes the flip side. An original and one-of-a-kind work whose symbolic significance is universal. High-quality relief printing made by innovative 3D digital printing technology "Touch. Feel" on Alu-Dibond. Painting sold framed: custom-made frame made of chromed brushed aluminium. About Harissart: Harissart was born from the passion of two long-time friends. Their creations are largely inspired by their memories of adolescence and more generally of the 90s. The themes of money, money and luxury also occupy a central place in Harissart's universe. Their artworks denounce its power, often parody it and sometimes even ridicule it. Drawing their inspiration from popular iconography, they divert, modernize and customize objects straight from the past to provoke an emotion, a feeling, revive a good memory or create it. . .
