Harry Potter Interest.- A hero Hogwarts acceptance letter with envelope from The Philosopher's Stone (2001), addressed to "Mr H. Potter, the Cupboard under the Stairs, 4, Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey" in green on the front, unbroken red wax seal with an "H" for Hogwarts, 13 x 18cm. ***The lot is accompanied by a letter of provenance on Harry Potter Productions letterhead confirming that this is one of only a limited number of props given out by the studios for charity and a colour photocopy of the letter in the unopened envelope. The hero envelope features a real red-wax Hogwarts seal, unlike the many entirely printed versions that were also used in the scene PROVENANCE: donated by the make-up artist who worked on the set of The Philosopher's Stone for a school charity auction (the Warner Bros covering letter is addressed to the PTA Vice Chairperson of the School). Acquired by the current owner at the charity sale.
