Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 23 x 19, June 18, 1948. President Truman appoints J. Klahr Huddle of Ohio as "the Representative of the United States of America on the Kashmir Commission of the Security Council of the United Nations." Signed at the conclusion by President Truman and countersigned by Secretary of State George C. Marshall. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with rippling and staining to the left edge, and creasing to the upper right corner. At the time of this document, Jerome Klahr Huddle was also serving as the US Ambassador to Burma.
