Hasegawa/K&C/Elastolin German Monuments & Command Car Group
A diverse Hasegawa, King & Country, and Elastolin historical grouping brings together German monuments, a command car, figures, postcards, photographs, and related ceremonial display pieces. The architectural centerpiece is a gray-painted plastic assembly model of the Neue Wache Great War (World War I) Memorial measuring approximately 20.5" W x 10.75" H x 5.25" D, paired with a matching tiered stone-style walkway platform. Also included is a miniature bronze-colored Munich Feldherrnhalle Mahnmal plaque monument measuring approximately 3.5" x 4" without its stand and topped with an eagle-and-swastika finial; the finial is loose. A Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Labor Service monument pillar measuring approximately 11.25" H is topped with a metallic spade-and-wheat insignia emblem. The grouping also includes a 1:72 scale plastic Mercedes-Benz G4/W31 staff car measuring approximately 7" L and carrying six molded lead figures representing high-ranking military and political leaders, along with a hand-painted composition party official figure in a brown shirt uniform. Two small green-and-red rosette ribbons with metallic fringe are included. The ephemera portion consists of three vintage postcards depicting military ceremonies and parade columns marching past the historic memorial structure; the reverses feature handwriting, stamps, and official Heinrich Hoffmann publishing marks. Two color photographs documenting the Neue Wache building facade are also included.
