Hashimoto Kansetsu (1883 - 1945)
A Japanese painting of waterfall, ink on paper mounted as hanging scroll, signed Kansetsu with three seals, 136 x 33cm, with two fitted Japanese wood box, one inscribed with title to the cover and signed to the inside of the cover.
cf. Hashimoto Kansetsu had a lifelong interest in Chinese art and culture, travelled south along the Yangzi River, and to the north of Beijing, known for paintings of animals and of Chinese literati style.
