Hawaii Koa Framed WC Painting Francis A. Davis (StP)
Up for sale from a recent estate in Honolulu this circa 1970s Hawaii Koa wood framed watercolor painting that is untitled but depicts a typical house with a corrugated metal roof and close drying on the outside lanai in Kona on the island of Hawaii that was painted by the local artist Francis A. Measurements:
Painting (by sight) 14 inches x 18 inches
Koa Frame 20.75 inches x 25.5 inches
Condition: The painting and frame are in good/acceptable pre-owned condition, the Koa frame with minor scuff marks and scratches and would benefit from a oiling, the painting was not inspected out of the frame but appears overall clean with very minor stains on the upper left and some minor even yellowing throughout, the signature seems to have been framed out but the back is inscribed with the artists name and location, the inside of the glass needs be cleaned up as it is dirty, the mat with faint stains but it also could just be dirt on the inside of the glass that make the mat look like that, just have a framer open up the frame and clean the glass for you"
