Hawaiian Poi

Hawaiian Poi Bowl, Umeke la'au pakaka, early to mid-19th century, probably Kou wood, with quite thin sides, used for serving poi at feasts, with numerous native butterfly inlay repairs to fine cracks, with shellac/varnish surface, (age cracks), ht. 5, wd. 10 1/2 in.
