Cracow: Fischer- Bader & Mailes, 1893. 8vo. 16 pp. ** Sold with a presentation copy from the author and editor of Armand Kaminka's Poésies Hébraïques, Paris, 1888, 12mo. The first work is quite rare. We trace only a few copies on Worldcat. The author (Braudes) was a Lithuanian-born Hebrew novelist and journalist who joined the Zionist movement during the anti-Semitic riots in Russia. The author of the second work (Kaminka) was a Ukrainian-born rabbi, scholar, translator and poet.
Condition Report: First work with toned and brittle paper, title detached, with several closed tears and small chips. Second work with wrapper soiled (original wrappers bound into early boards.) Pair sold as-is.
