-Note: Hein Kever is one of the most celebrated artists of the Larense School, however, he found his origin in Amsterdam. With the help of Isaac Israels, he started working in the studio of P.F. Greive. In 1878 he moved to 't Gooi where he met, and was inspired by, Anton Mauve. Kever's passion was depicting domestic scenes, with mothers and children. The present lot is an excellent example of his love for this intimate subject.-
