Heinkel - Kabine - 1961

[ translate ]

Heinkel Kabine, 1961, 200 cc. The vehicle is complete, very presentable and functional, previously refurbished, with traces of the past. A very pleasant and comfortable vehicle. It is a driving vehicle which can be left as is, have some some fine-tuning on it done or restored if desired. French collector car documents, no need for an MOT (3 wheels) From England. Mechanics: The engine works really well, here's what to foresee: - The accelerator cable needs to be adjusted, as it is very inaccurate (known on Heinkels) . - Extend the exhaust outlet, or replace the muffler (fumes remain in the engine compartment, odours) . - DOT 5 hydraulic silicone brakes to be adjusted (to be tightened on the left wheel) . - Internal heating tube to be replaced. - The battery is OK but a bit high to close the cover properly. Bodywork: - The paintwork is in lovely condition, nice and shiny. - There are a few cracks in the paintwork in some places, for instance on the bottom of the exterior mirror. - Some light dings on the hull in the back on the left (visible in daylight) . - Slight misalignment of the rear cover with the hull. - The chrome plating on the rear bumper needs to be redone (rust) . - The floor in the front has visibly been replaced, some surface rust but not perforating. - New plexiglass bubble seals, with chrome plated keys. - The Skai soft top is old but in good condition, except for the front seal which needs to be replaced. - The bar for the cover in the back (to hold it open) is missing. Interior: Probably original, the fabric is a bit slack. - The cardboard panels are not easy to put in place (hard cardboard) . - The dashboard needs to be polished (oxidation on the aluminium) . - The accelerator pedal is worn. It can be viewed in Brittany, France. It is recommended to view the vehicle prior to placing a bid in order to avoid any disappointment. Please contact Catawiki to arrange an appointment.
