Very rare large dish in cloisonné and cracked Longwy enamels. Entirely hand-enamelled and hand-made. Entitled "Fantaisie". Limited edition # 6 of 75. Signed Hélène Gabet at the back for the decoration (period 1950-1957) . Enhanced by Albert Kirchtetter (initials AK on the back) . Atelier d'Art stamp (exclusively for the most beautiful period limited edition pieces) . Multicoloured decoration of a "Phoenix" in flight. Beautiful work by the two artists. Lots of detail and colours. In memory of: Hélène GABET, great artist (1914-2016) . Albert Kirchtetter, great enhancer (1910-1976) . The enhancers are true artists in their own right for some. Sometimes their initials may be seen on the back of enamelled items. Their work consists of enhancing the design by applying a second layer of enamel (petrol or water) on top of the first one, which will give dimension and volume to the design of the piece. Depending on the quality of the enhancement, the same piece may or may not be beautiful. Excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear. No lacks, cracks, hair or restoration.
