Hellenistic Gold Filigree Earrings with Horse Heads

A matched pair of gold earrings, each a flat-section hoop with wire closure, short shank with granule collar, hollow-formed pendant of two addorsed horse (or bull?) heads, gold bead finial with bead dangle below. 5.08 grams total, 55-60mm (2"). From the private collection of a North West London lady; previously with a central London gallery; formerly acquired before 1990.[2]
