This monumental work, edited by Jane Newton, is a tribute to the great photographer Helmut Newton. In over 450 colour and black-and-white illustrations, Newton's pioneering achievements in fashion photography, his groundbreaking nudes, and his portraits of well-known personalities are documented and uniquely showcased. In April 2000, the SUMO picture book caused a sensation when the first copy - hand-signed by over 100 of the famous personalities depicted in the book - fetched 620,000 DM at a charity auction, breaking the record for the most expensive book of the 20th century.
