Henbury Meteorite Iron, IIIAB Northern Territory, Australia - (24° 34'S, 133° 10'E) Found: 1931 This fine example of a complete individual Henbury Meteorite from Australia does not present with the characteristic reddish-orange patina common in many specimens from the remote locality. Discovered in 1931, there are more than a dozen distinct, impact craters associated with the Henbury fall. A highly sculptural specimen, this piece weighing 1.4 kilograms (3 pounds) exhibits sharp edging on the convex side that effectively "folds over" the concave surface exhibiting numerous shallow crater indentations. Overall Measurements: 6.04 x 2.76 x 1.68 inches (15.35 x 7.02 x 4.27 cm), weighs 1,420 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
