Henri Boisgontier Pencil Signed Etching

Item/Description: Hand colored river scene landscape etching. Pencil signed lower right: Boisgontier. Henri Boisgontier (French, 1850-1940). The son of a lithographer, Boisgontier was closely aligned with the Barbazon School. He counted Jules Dupre and Jean-Baptist Corot among his friends and mentors.
