The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by Georges Matisse.
Condition Report:
Executed on cream wove paper and hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge of the verso. The edges are lightly deckled. The sheet is unevenly toned. Pindots of foxing scattered throughout the composition. Nailhead-sized repairs in the upper left and right corners. A few nailhead-sized areas of discoloration in the figure's blouse. The media is well-preserved. The work is in overall very good condition.
