Fully restored condition, fairly stiffly relined, cleaned and revarnished. Small patch of retouching no more than 1cm in length approx 7cm from lower left-hand corner. Some general strengthening to shadows under thatch towards the upper right-hand corner. Odd further patch of strengthening within thatching. Subtle stretcher shadow, small loss and minor flaking within area of strengthening and retouching below thatching upper left-hand side. Some surface dirt and discoloured varnish, canvas lifting from reline lower left-hand corner and edge. Minor amount of transferred gilt paint along the upper edge mostly contained to left-hand side. Some slight flattening to surface and impasto as a result of the restoration process. Fine stable cracquelure throughout.
