Henry Dunay Solid 18K Yellow Gold 3.5" Brooch - This lovely brooch was made by world renowned, award-winning designer Henry Dunay. Henry Dunay started his career at the age of 14 and started his own firm in 1956, initially taking on work from other manufacturers (including Harry Winston) to support himself. He quickly found success and fame after winning the De Beers Diamond International Award, which showered images of his designs around the world. He has been awarded over 50 National and International Awards over fifty years, and is a four time winner of the Diamond International award. His pieces have been worn at countless red carpet events on celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington's wife, Hillary Clinton, and Adrien Brody. In 2013 "Lost Love", a carved aquamarine, diamond, platinum and gold sculpture by Dunay brought a realized price of $170,500 at auction, and rock crystal quartz and yellow gold mounted presentation bowl of a boat-shaped outline fetched $68,500. The brooch was finely crafted of solid 18k yellow gold and has an elegant ridged texture. The brooch measures 3.5" in length and is signed "Dunay" along with the gold purity.
