Henry Maurice D'ANTY (1910-1998) , Henry d'Anty, is a French painter born Maurice Henry on September 8, 1910 in the Belleville district of Paris and died on December 4, 1998 in Villejuif. Henry d'Anty did his artistic studies at the Julian Academy and developed many affinities with the artists of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. It is dominated by a powerful ruby red with which it generally combines ocher and blue. D'Anty paints large impastos that are superimposed and saturate the canvas with their luminosity.
