Born in Guangdong, Wo Yue-Kee was a student of Zhao Shao'ang in the late 1940s. After relocating to the United States he soon developed his distinctive style which blends descriptive realism and impressionistic brushwork. His work is now included in many museum collections such as the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, Art Museum in Hawaii and Birmingham Museum of Art.
