Magnificent multi-purpose Reticulated Basket/Centrepiece produced by Herend - “ Rothschild Bird “ Collection, in excellent to pristine condition.
Designed to meet the perfection, this is an oval deep bowl, with inside birds and butterflies medallion and intercalated gold and pink stripes on the circles border, forget-me-not flowers.

Versatile piece, suitable to serve sweets, fruits or others, this a marvel to be simply displayed on a table, designed to meet the expectations of the most pretentious ones.

This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.

It’s in excellent condition to pristine condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of the description !
