Telling the stories of generations through their intricate designs, porcelain exquisitely elevates the scene of any dinner party. Her timeless beauty exudes an air of royalty and sophistication that even royalty craves.
\r
Indeed, Queen Victoria found herself drawn to a Chinese-inspired design by Herend during the 1851 First World's Fair in London. Intrigued by the delicate flowers and elegant butterflies that fluttered on the porcelain, the Queen purchased the set to use during her banquets at Windsor Castle. This single purchase helped make Herend the largest porcelain manufacturer in Europe.
\r
More than a century later, Herend continues to introduce this iconic motif to new generations in a contemporary way. Fortuna was created as a monochrome play on Queen Victoria's colorful crockery. Each piece is hand painted by master craftsmen and finished with 24 karat gold accents.
