The photos are the description of the lot. The painting is dusty but in reasonable condition. The painting was purchased in Roermond in the early 1990s, on the back of the frame you can also recognize an art dealership in The Hague. Hermanus Adrianus Charles Bogman (1890-1975) is the son and pupil of Hermanus Charles Christiaan Bogman. The painter was influenced by Willem de Zwart, from whom he received advice as a young and gifted artist. Bogman Jr. was a true ‘Hagenaar’, for whom the streets, squares and parks of the royal city were an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
