Description: The artist shows a classic family portrait in front of a lovingly draped backdrop. Picking up on the Biedermeier ideal of the family and composed in a conservative manner, the influence of contemporary artistic taste from the late 19th century can be seen not least in the sitter's clothing and the loose strokes.
