Hermann Göring – his personal car pennant as Reich Aviation Minister, 1933-35Rectangular pennant in red cotton, printed in colour. The centre of the front with a white disc featuring the Weimar eagle in a laurel wreath with attached Pour le Mérite on stylised wings above four diagonal, white rays with swastikas, outlined in black and broadening outwards to the corners. The swastika in the centre on the back and the Weimar eagle in the ends of the rays. Dimensions approx. 24 x 24 cm. Complete with the metal frame sewn into the lining and remnants of the celluloid protective cover. Göring used this pennant until his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe in February 1935. Condition: II -
