Condition report:
This bag dates most likely from 1951 as the letter 'G' is stamped under the 2nd flap
Good overall condition for its age
Presence of some corrosion to the gold plated ring of the fastener
Cracking to the leather along the top of the flap around the natural creases of the ostrich skin
The leather has become unstitched down the side (approx. 2 cm deep) as illustrated
Presence of scratches to the leather on the inside as well as being dusty
Level of wear to the corners and edges normal or even good for its age.
The ostrich skin is of a heavier nature most likely from being from a wild bird as opposed to a farmed one
