Herreyns 1846" and "Ch. Herreyns 1847" (corners torn). Karel Herreyns (ca. 1780-1860) was an Antwerp painter whose works are now in churches and museums in Antwerp and Mechelen. He was a member of the Antwerp Art Academy. The two drawings represent variants on the same scene: the beheading of St John the Baptist. Prov. Émile Gasc (1817-1866).
