The present piece is a typical example of Graumann’s work, exploring the idea of patterns and symmetry, and the beauty which can be produced through the use of disposable everyday materials, such as plastic cups and straws. This work has been exhibited at the Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart in Biel, Switzerland (2007), and at the Nettie Horn Gallery in London (2008). Further works by Graumann have been shown at Documenta X, Lyon Biennale, Cairo Biennale, and at the Kunsthalle Bern, amongst numerous other locations.
