Heuer. A Very Fine and Beautiful Carrera Automatic Chronograph Wristwatch in Steel
Model: Carrera
Reference: 1153
Case Material: Stainless steel
Bracelet Material: Stainless steel
Year: 1970s
Movement: Automatic
Caliber: 12′
Dimensions: 40 x 42 mm
Signed: Case, dial, movement

This is a stunning example of a Heuer Carrera 1153, reference in production for a very short period between 1969 and 1974: the present specimen is powered by the automatic caliber 12 and is the improved successor to the famous Heuer caliber 11, one of the first automatic chronograph movements in watch history. The great overall condition of this watch makes it very valuable. The stainless steel tonneau shape case is unpolished, in great overall condition with little, natural signs of wear. The silvered brushed dial is almost perfect without any kind of imperfections with two gray sub registers, the date window at 6 o’clock and integrated, gray tachymeter scale with white lettering. The orange hand for the chronograph somehow matches with the lime color that has aged to a dark ocher variation. A real bonus is the stainless steel Gay Frère bracelet of which the watch is equipped.
