Heuer Carrera Chronograph

Case: stainless steel, numbered 148857, reference 1153, diameter c. 39 mm
Movement: self-winding, lever movement, calibre 11, microrotor, stop mechanism via switch, 17 stones
Dial: blue, applied luminous baton numerals, two white auxiliary dials for 30-minute index, 12-hour index, date, tachymeter
Heuer first introduced the Carrera model in 1969. Together with the Seiko 6139 and Zenith El Primero, Heuer Calibre 11 is one of the first chronograph movements with automatic winding. The present model is a relatively early edition in a classic 1970s design. The movement shows oxidation marks and is in need of repair. The enclosed original watchband is damaged and has been supplemented with a non-original clasp.
