Heuer. Rare and Fine Jarama Chronograph Wristwatch in Steel With Pvd Bezel, Reference 110 223
Model: Jarama
Reference: 110 223
Case Material: Stainless steel
Bracelet Material: Leather
Year: 1970s
Movement: Automatic
Caliber: 12′
Case N°: 356242
Dimensions: 39 mm
Signed: Case, dial, movement

The variety and imagination of these names that the Heuer has used since the 20th century, especially in the ’70s, is incredible. Also part of this late 1970s collection was a sporting chronograph named after a Spanish Formula 1 track, linked with Gilles Villeneuve: the Heuer Jarama. This model firstly appeared in the catalogue in 1977 and was only produced for a couple of years with very limited number of specimens available. With a cushion-style case shape, the Jarama was offered with three models, each of them powered by Heuer in-house Chronomatic Caliber 12 movement. It’s a more complex case than many of Heuer’s designs with a combination of a polished lower case and a starburst top case, nicely integrated chronograph pushers and a clear, simple dial. The present lot is the final iteration of the Jarama, the reference 110 223, realized in stainless steel, black dial and a unique PVD bezel – an unusual design that is the most sporting in execution in great conditions.
