A rare Heuer Yacht Timer Regatta stopwatch for the wrist. In the 1960s/1970s, Heuer designed various types of stopwatches without time display for all kinds of purposes. Running, skiing, golfing, but also regatta sailing. This colorful copy is one of the most sought-after examples of this.
Type 503. 512 with a Valjoux 7710 movement.
The sandblasted metal case is approximately 52. 5 mm and is specially designed for the wrist. The official English text accompanying the advertisement shown at the time reads: “This exclusive yacht timer is used throughout the world of top skippers. Including the INTREPID crew, winners of the famous America Cup. Large color coded central 5 minute register. Reverse second division facilitates count-down. 3 crown functions, water-resistant case in wrist-watch version. Shock protected. “
This copy comes on a 22mm NATO strap with a buckle. Suitable for a wrist up to at least 21 cm.
