Description: Nice important plate with the inscription 'Philippus Galleus excud". The ornamental border is very elaborate and a fine example of this 16th century's style. The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam has a pendant (RP-P-1982-1251) with a salvator mundi in the same ornamental border, there catalogued as attribution to the workshop of Philips Galle, published by Philips Galle.
