High Condition Winchester Model 1892 Button Mag Lever Action Rifle in 25-20 W.C.F. Caliber
Made by Winchester Repeating Arms according to serial number in 1915. Gun has 24" blued Winchester Steel marked octagon barrel with sheared blade front sight and 22 G rear sight and standard address and "Model 1892" tang markings with "25-20" caliber marking. Barrel has standard 6 groove rifling. Correct blued solid frame receiver with blued button style tubular magazine. Crisp proof marks showing burnishment under light. Correct serrated blued hammer and lever and smooth plain trigger. Walnut plain standard stock with blued crescent steel buttplate, blued Nose cap and No sling swivels. 95%+ original blue with small areas of oxidation from poor storage. Lever has area where oxidation has been cleaned with steel wool with finish removed. Muzzle has small ding. Excellent oil finish with small chips missing behind left side of action and at toe. Bore slightly rough with excellent mechanics.
