Hilda Fearon ROI, British 1878-1917 - Study of two children; oil on canvas laid on board, signed lower right, 50 x 31 cm Note: with thanks to Dr. Pamela Gerrish Nunn for her assistance in the cataloguing of this work Hilda Fearon was a British Impressionist painter, who worked in the painting colony of St. Ives, alongside contemporaries such as Dorothy Sharp. The artist was known for her domestic and garden scenes of family life, similar in tone to the works of Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot. She exhibited at the Royal Academy and Walker Art Gallery, and her work is in the Tate Collection.
