Why so serious? Perhaps the cyclists' placid faces and dark clothing are meant to connote the seriousness of the Hillman, Herbert & Cooper bicycle manufacturer to German audiences. At any rate, their wide variety of options is clearly on display: penny-farthings, tricycles, tandems, and safety bikes are all available for cruising. This version is imprinted with the name of the Munich distributor Ch. N. Schad.
