Weight: 8. 6 kg Height: 59 cm. Diameter pedestal: 18 cm. Hippolyte Moreau (1832- 1927) was the second son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau He was trained in his father's studio. Moved to Paris to be apprenticed to François Jouffroy at the École des beaux-arts. From 1863 to 1914 he exhibited at the famous Salon. He won medals on the world exhibitions from 1878 and 1900.
