Hitler Sends More Jews To Palestine - 1939
An authentic and original special issue of ‘Volkischer Beobachter’ March, 11, 1939, 8pp., never bound, near fine. The bold three column headline, “Another 75,000 Jews to Palestine” followed by “Jewish mass immigration to British Guiana planned”. An interior article with three column headline “Every Seventh Jew Smuggles”, and still another “The End of the Democratic Era in Europe.” In March 1939, Nazi Germany's active policy was still focused on forcing Jewish emigration rather than systematic extermination, with the existing Haavara Agreement allowing a mechanism for German Jews to transfer assets to British Mandatory Palestine, even as the program wound down and international escape routes narrowed.
