Antique painting, oil on paper on panel. The painting is signed Jozef Israel. I cannot guarantee whether this is a work by this painter, which is why it says imitator. I had the painting examined by an expert, his opinion is that it is original, and that the signature turns green under the ultraviolet lamp (so it was not added later) . The expert is an art dealer from Renkum who has had a gallery here for 40 years. I am selling this work but cannot guarantee whether it is really Jozef Israëls. In any case, it is a very beautiful painting. The work has crackle, but this is not disturbing.

The painting comes with an antique frame and is in beautiful condition. The size with frame is 58 cm x 72 cm.
