Holy water stoup with flowers
Pair of silver stoups decorated with flowers, ribbons and bundles of leaves. They were made by Bartolomeo Valazza, a silversmith working in Venice in the first half of the 19th century.
The stoup features the distinctive signs in use under Austrian domination, including "anvil" (small piece) and "gondola bow" (Venice) .
It was produced in Venice at the express request of a noble Venetian landowner and doctor who lived in the Polesine.
