Hooghe, Romeyn de (1645-1708). "Herstelling der waere godsdienst en grondwetten in G: Brittanien. Door S.K.H. Met wegvluchten van het Hof ende familie van de k: Iacob de II en koningin van Engeland. etc." Large etching consisting of 11 separate images and background image, caption below, 48x57 cm., publ. by L. Tangena, ±1689.

- Trimmed to plate mark (right margin)/ borderline (left margin); remnants of sellotape in (blank) margins; fold in upper left corner.

= Landwehr, Romeyn de Hooghe the Etcher p.152, 2nd state (of 2), with "R. de Hooge fec" in lower right corner; F.M. 2751a. Decorative print, the larger central image showing King James II being welcomed in France by King Louis XIV after his flight from England in the Glorious Revolution, surrounded by images of the hazardous flight. At the top is a portrait of King James, flanked by belligerent women fighting off the Crown ("No Monarchy") and the Catholic Church ("No Popery").
